Just a quick one, trying to hit on a decent book!Elphaba design. Still too pretty I think, but eh. OpenCanvas1.1 (you should go search for this and get it if you use a tablet - OpenCanvas1 is free, and some sites still have it available. It's pretty basic, but if you like it, OC4 isn't too expensive to get)
I have to admit, I got to where Elphaba leaves for the monastary before I had to give up the book. But since I haven't seen many photos from the musical!Elphaba, this seems to suit her, regardless. I love her hands, you did a great job with those.
Ah, thanks ~RezaDO was showing me how to draw hands, and I think his advice is actually working now! Hooray!
When she went into the mauntery I nearly had an EMBOLISM. It was a PARAGRAPH break and suddenly, she was a nun! My poor, dear friends at the time had to listen to three days worth of ranting about fictional nuns before I could pick it up again The end of the book was hilarious though, once Nanny caught up with Elphaba She was hilarious in her senility.
She was, er, Elphaba's nanny XD Very sensible sort of a person, the only one who really dealt with Elphaba properly as a child. As she gets older she goes a bit bonkers and Elphaba kicks her down a flight of spiral stairs (which is, to my morbid sense of humour, the funniest part of the book...)
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
