I've been interested in the Wizard of Oz since I was about three years old, so I finally went and got Gregory Maguire's book Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. This is the result :D

Off in what way? I do plan to go back to it when it's not bubbling in my brain like boiling oil, yep :D You know the way where you get too close to the image and then cannot fix any of it to save your life ;)

I haven't seen the Broadway production but it looks brilliant.

very cool idea, :D i like the way the clock is wire from then you have like an abstract window showing the scene and characters are the main focus :d good stuff =) as usual :)

I didn't know there was a musical til *macbeemer started gushing about it. That was an awesome book, hopefully my questionable sources will eventually get me the soundtrack or something cuz dammit, the book ruled! Though I did think the end was kinda rushed. Oh well.

The pic is awesome. :D Reminds me of E's days at the college, when she actually seemed to be HAPPY. :) For some reason, I like Glinda's kicking-it foot best. Heh heh. And the AWESOME composition. Oh my GOD, that's gorgeous and quirky and wild. And the detailed little farm and tornado and flying house. I want a flying house. Or a flying monkey. yup.

Thanks! :D I loved the book, and I have seen the musical via means of questionable legality XD The musical is very different from the book, but still good fun. I think it's going back to Canada soon actually... damn you!
